Meet Tracy!
From the time I was a little kid, I've always loved animals. And after watching Barbara Woodhouse shrilly shriek, "walkies!" on her BBC television show, dogs have been my favorite pet. I read every book about dogs I could get my hands on and begged my parents for a dog every chance I got.
When I wasn't reading or talking about dogs, I was finding ways to spend time with them, by volunteering and seeking out opportunities to work in the pet focused industries. I have on occasion moved away from working directly with pets, but I've always found other ways to have dogs in my life. I adopted my first dog over 20 years ago, and haven't been without one since!
My professional experience comes from volunteering at and managing an animal shelter, working as a kennel tech at a veterinary office, working for a respected pet food company, and apprenticing at a retail grooming salon. I have been grooming my own pets at home for many years, and am finally graduating from my grooming apprenticeship in July!
The focus of my personal grooming business is house-call grooming. I see there is a need for such a service for owners who have dogs that for whatever reason, can no longer visit a salon, but still need regular grooming maintenance. One-on-one house call grooming is a luxury service that gives your pet my undivided attention in the comfort of their own home.
It is ideal for:
- Elderly dogs who have special needs.
- Busy owners who do not have the time to shuttle their pet to and from an appointment.
- Owners who themselves cannot leave the house easily, due to age or a disability.
